Illegal Jacks

This is a story of triumph over adversity. Popular Tex-Mex restaurant Illegal Jacks was put out of business by circumstances out with their control following a flood at their previous premises, but following a hugely successful crowd funding exercise the owners were able to commission Cubit3D to design a new restaurant in a great new location close to Edinburgh University.

The restaurant design takes the idea of rough and ready and elevates it to something rather special. Making a positive out of having a very tight budget by using simple and cost-effective materials like USB board & direct printed Foamex to create a striking and memorable interior.

We also took the opportunity to tweak the restaurant identity and complimented this with a range of fun and amusing wall graphics and sayings all featuring the elusive ‘Jack’ character.
